The experts will know it within a split second: indeed this is using a well known Kool & The Gang sample. I could listen to that segment of the original looped up for days. And that excitement and enjoyment partly came from the thrill on first realizing where Large Professor got his Faking The Funk sample from.

Now, all that being said, I think I flipped it a little different from everyone else (big up to Daddy O for doing it on a Stetsa track too): it may sound as if it's all a single, same loop, but don't be sleeping, there are several variations on the theme, so stay alert. I like how the snare pops on this one, it slaps you on the ear drums every time.
